The Fool As Feelings (Upright, Reversed & Combinations)

The Fool is known as a carefree and happy-go-lucky card.

It is one of those cards I’m personally very happy to encounter during a reading as it often represents a new beginning or a fresh start.

When it comes to feelings, or how someone feels about you, there’s an interesting way this card can be interpreted.

In this article we will explore the meaning of the Fool tarot card as feelings, both in its upright and reversed position.

We will also look at some tarot card combinations to give you a more in-depth understanding of what the Fool card might mean in your situation.

The Fool As Feelings

With regards to feelings, the Fool is a tarot card that tends to represent someone who feels head-over-heels in love. They may be so in love that they are blinded to any potential problems or warning signs. This person may also be very new to love, or this may be their first relationship.

They could be completely new to the whole idea of showing feelings and emotions.

This can make them come across a bit clumsy when it comes to expressing their true feelings.

They may not be sure what to say or do at all times, but their intentions are pure and show they truly want to make things work.

The Fool card can also represent someone who is very childlike in their approach to love.

They may be a bit naive, but at the same time, they also have a lot of hope and faith.

This person may not be the most mature when it comes to love and relationships, but they sure pour a lot of their heart and soul into it!

When you’re in a relationship, the Fool can be a sign that you’re feeling very happy and content with the way things are going.

Things seem to be going well and you feel like you can be yourself without having a care in the world.

You may still be in the honeymoon stage of your relationship, or it could just represent a sense of general satisfaction.

When pulled in the upright position, the Fool can also be taken as a sign that you should trust your intuition and follow your heart, even if it means taking a (calculated) risk from time to time.

The Fool Reversed As Feelings

The Fool in reversed position often represents someone who feels not quite ready to jump into a relationship. They may feel a bit scared of commitment or they may just not be ready to fully open up, be vulnerable and let someone in. This person can come across as very guarded and closed off.

This could have to do with being afraid of being hurt or they could have been hurt in the past, not sure if they’re ready to take that risk again.

If this is the case, someone who represents the Fool in reverse may need some time to themselves before they feel ready to let someone in.

The Fool in reversed position can also indicate that you are feeling reckless and impulsive when it comes to love.

You may be acting on your emotions without really thinking things through.

This could lead to some challenges later down the road.

The Fool in reverse also radiates a sense of confusion when it comes to love.

You could find yourself second-guessing your feelings or be unsure of what you want which can ultimately lead to feelings of frustration.

The Fool Combinations As Feelings

Certain tarot card combinations can give you a more in-depth understanding of what the Fool tarot card might mean as feelings.

Here are some examples of possible combinations with the Fool:

The Fool And King Of Pentacles As Feelings

When the Fool is combined with the King of Pentacles, this suggests that someone likely feels deeply in love with you and is impressed by your practicality and stability.

This person feels very drawn to your down-to-earth nature.

As a result, they are highly motivated to do what it takes to make it work between the two of you.

The Fool And 7 Of Pentacles As Feelings

The combination of the Fool with the 7 of Pentacles suggests that someone loves you for your hard work and dedication.

They are attracted to your ambition and drive

This person could be a bit unexperienced though when it comes to love and may need some time to adjust to the idea of being in a committed relationship.

The Fool And Ace Of Wands As Feelings

The Ace of Wands is a card that mostly represents new beginnings.

So when it’s combined with the Fool card, this tends to suggest that someone new is coming into your life.

It indicates someone feels very hopeful and optimistic about the bond you two share.

They could also be quite impulsive and not fully think things through before moving forwards.

The Fool And Queen Of Cups As Feelings

Whenever the Fool appears with the Queen of Cups, this suggest that someone feels deeply infatuated and completely devoted to you.

This person feels very much drawn to your emotional side and your ability to connect with them on a deep level like no one else can.

This tarot card combination can be taken as a great sign as it signifies a strong long-term and committed relationship.

The Fool And Page Of Pentacles As Feelings

This is a powerful combination that suggests someone feels willing to commit and take things a step further.

They are drawn to your caring side and your ability to make them feel safe and secure.

Even though the Fool and the Page of Pentacles are both cards that represent a sense of youth which shows the relationship may still be in its early stages, there is definitely a strong sense of seriousness present in the situation as well.

In Conclusion

As you can see, the Fool tarot card can represent a wide range of things when it comes to feelings.

When it appears in the upright position, the Fool generally suggest that you are open to receiving new love and new experiences

There’s a strong sense of hope and optimism about the future!

However, when the Fool appears in reversed position, it can suggest that you feel a bit reckless and impulsive when it comes to love.

This means that you (or someone who represents the Fool) may be acting on your emotions without fully thinking things through and looking at the possible consequences.

If you pull the Fool during a love themed tarot reading, it’s important to look at the surrounding cards to get a better understanding of what message the cards are trying to get across.

The Fool can represent anything from new love to feelings of confusion. It really all depends on the context of the reading and the other cards that appear with it.
